Danmaku Unlimited 3 was developed by a one-man team, and it serves as a homage to the bullet hell genre, which is emblematic of arcade shooters that often fill the screen with bullets. The game was inspired by the likes of Ikaruga, Dodonpachi, and others.

As noted by the developer, this port will be one with no compromises. The Switch version will play and run exactly as it does on PC, and it will also allow new control options for the game, such as playing tate mode via the handheld tablet.

Tate mode is when the game’s monitor is in portrait orientation. With this mode, a player will be able to see more of a stage than normal.

Fans of arcade shooters and owners of the Nintendo Switch can look forward to Danmaku Unlimited 3 later this year.
