Materials used in making a soft covering for the furniture are known as upholstery. Limited warranty upholstery provided by the company is discussed below:

Product

Standard products of the company are given a warranty of one year from purchasing date for workmanship defects if utilized with regular usage. Abusively using the product does not qualify it for this warranty. If negligence or excessive usage is detected by the company, then it does not comply with the provision of its warranty. 

Seat Cores, Springs, and Frames

Seat Cores, springs, and frames enjoy a lifetime warranty granted by the company, but the condition is that they underperform in normal circumstances. They can be replaced or repaired without any charges after determining their liability. Only the original customer can avail of this warranty.

Fabrics

Color faded fabrics do not qualify for the warranty. Fabric can be replaced, but the color match is not guaranteed. The fabric has to be submitted by the customer to the service center for required inspection. If the customer has used a stain-repellent finish, then the company will not accept it for treatment under this warranty.

Customer’s Material Fabrics (COM)/ Customer’s Material Leather (COL)

Vanguard is not responsible for the after-purchase performance of Customer’s Material Fabrics (COM)/ Customer’s Own Material Leather (COL) after the fabric’s acceptance and inspection by the company for final manufacturing. 

Mechanisms

A full warranty is provided to the customer for sleeper mechanisms when kept in regular care and usage. Any defect which is witnessed in the sleep mechanism is provided unconditional warranty during the operational life of the items in this category. The original purchaser has this facility only. 

Year 1: Defective parts of the inner mechanism get replaced with a cost of installation of up to $150.

Year 1-5: Defective parts of the inner mechanism get replaced without bearing the cost of installation.

After 5 Years: Servicing continues, but the company takes to repair and replacement charges.

Customer Limited Warranty: Case goods

Vanguard Furniture case goods purchased from dealers fall under this warranty and apply to the original purchaser only. Details are discussed below:

Wood and Metal Products

One year warranty from the purchasing date is given to the original purchaser for wood and metal product defects in materials if it was in normal usage.

Marble: 

Four months warranty from the purchasing date is given to the original purchaser for marble and stone product defects in materials if it was in normal usage. No warranty is granted by the company against spills causing the stains.

Glass and Mirrors

Four months warranty from the purchasing date is given to the original purchaser for glass and mirror product defects in materials if it was in normal usage. No warranty coverage is issued by the company if scratches result from mishandling after delivery.

Limitations

The following limitations are associated with this warranty given by the company:

Only the original purchaser has the privilege to enjoy this warranty from the date of purchase if the product stays under normal usage for the specified period. Regular residential use is a must to get this warranty. If damage is caused due to misuse or negligence on the purchaser’s behalf, this warranty becomes void. Use of chemicals, improper cleaning, liquids spill, or accidents disqualify the customer from grabbing this warranty because the product was used for the purpose it was not intended.  No alterations are allowed. If any alteration is witnessed, then this warranty automatically becomes void.

The original authorized dealer should be contacted first to claim the warranty. Then, purchase proof and delivery date have to be provided to the dealer for further procedures related to executing the applicable warranty.
