The developers behind SoulCalibur 6 wanted to know the answer and decided to put it to the test. To do it properly, they sought the assistance of world-renowned fencer and Team USA Olympic Bronze Medalist, Miles Chamley-Watson.
In the video, Chamely-Watson shows off his skills against SoulCalibur 6 producer, Motohiro Okubo. And … it’s a sight to behold.
With SoulCalibur 6 nearly upon us, it will be interesting to see if all the research Bandai Namco put into the game’s development pays off – and feels real. You can check the video in the header above, and then compare the fencing here to that of the recently unveiled Raphael here.
The next iteration of the storied fighting game franchise is set to release on October 19.
