Walmart Operating Hours
Walmart’s official hours are 8 a.m.-11 p.m. However, the retailer will often stay open later than those hours on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve as well as other holidays, like Black Friday and Cyber Monday, when crowds of shoppers flock to the stores. In addition to Walmart’s regular hours of operation, you can expect extended hours during the following holidays:
Thanks giving Day:
Most Walmarts will be open 24 hours on Thanksgiving Day this year (Thursday, November 22nd). The exception is those located in Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Guam —they’ll likely be closed that day since there’s no midnight deadline for them to be open.
Christmas Eve:
Many Walmarts will be open 24 hours on Christmas Eve this year (Wednesday evening December 24th). Again, check your local store’s website for details about its holiday hours before heading out for last-minute shopping needs!
Walmart, the world’s largest retailer, is open 24/7 every day of the year. The company has more than 11,000 stores in 28 countries, including 4,700 stores in the United States and 2,900 stores in Canada. In the 1980s, Walmart opened its first 24-hour store in Clinton, Missouri. Since then, the company’s hours have been extended. It opened over 1,000 new stores that were open 24 hours a day in 2009. In 2005, the company began testing Home Office Services in select US locations, allowing customers to order online and pick up their purchases for free at the store’s pharmacy or grocery department (or have them delivered). It offers flexible schedules that allow its employees to work around family commitments and is often listed as one of Fortune magazine’s 100 best companies to work for.
In 2007 Walmart introduced its “click-and-collect” service that allows customers to place orders online and pick them up at any of its 4,700 U.S. locations without having to wait for shipping costs or delivery time constraints.”
8am-11pm is Walmart’s usual operating hours for stores. Some Walmart stores may operate as late as midnight, especially in small towns where the population has nowhere else to shop and there’s no competition. Walmart employees work the whole day throughout the year to provide good customer service to all its customers. Walmart has over 11,000 stores globally, employing 2.2 million people worldwide. It offers either full or part-time jobs at most of its locations. Boasting 1,500 Supercenters and discount stores in the US alone, with more than half its revenue coming fromgrocery sales, Walmart is number one in the supermarket business of America.
In general, Walmart store hours are frequently limited and vary by state. The reason for this is that Walmart’s best customers are divided into two categories: the wealthy, who can afford to shop at any time of day, and lower-income families who need full-time jobs during the week but don’t earn enough to work six days a week or shop at all hours. Walmart is a multinational retailer. Its headquarters is found in Bentonville. The company operates under the name Walmart. It offers groceries and general merchandise. A one-stop destination for all your needs.
