Update: Apple iPad 2 – Specs, Price & release We are now sure about the iPad 2 launch on Wednesday, March 2, at the Yerba Buena Center for Arts Theater in San Francisco at 10 AM PT. The invites for the iPad 2 event was sent out earlier today and few of the tech & gadget blogs will be live blogging from the event. Apple fans have a huge expectations with iPad 2, specially after seeing some stiff competition from tablets like Motorola Xoom, HP Touchbook and BlackBerry Playbook. iPad 2 is expected to have thinner display, front facing camera, Facetime video chat and gyroscope.

Historically Apple has deliberately avoided live streaming their product launches on the web. But they managed to shock all the web enthusiasts by live streaming their iPod music event in September 2010 and repeated that in October 2010 too.
