EA has already shown three modes for Star Wars Battlefront: Walker Assault, Blast, and Fighter Squadron. Walker Assault focuses on two teams fighting it out as one attacks with AT-ATs while the other team, playing as the Rebels, defends and fulfills various objectives. Blast is a simple deathmatch mode, which can range up to 10 versus 10. Finally, Fighter Squadron is an aerial battle, once again with 10 players on two opposing teams, however, there are twenty NPC pilots thrown in to make the battle feel more hectic and faithful to the films.

EA and DICE have mentioned that there are at least three other modes that they are waiting to reveal.

The new modes were recently revealed on the Battlefront official website as Supremacy, Drop Zone, and Cargo.

Not much is known besides their names, but there is plenty of speculation in the Battlefront community. Cargo sounds like a possible Capture-the-Flag style team battle, possibly with special items replacing the generic flag.

As for Supremacy, it sounds like it could be similar to the Domination matches in Call of Duty, with teams trying to hold certain areas to win points.

Personally, Drop Zone seems the most unique and mysterious of the three and I can’t really make heads or tails of it.

Regardless of the lack of information about the new modes, it is very exciting that there are so many to choose from. Hopefully, even more will be revealed as the November release date slowly approaches.
